At Claws & Paws Veterinary Hospital, we have been successfully offering acupuncture for many years to our qualifying clients. Acupuncture is one of a variety of therapies that your veterinarian may use to treat your pet for conditions such as arthritis, skin issues, respiratory problems, and more. It is now being utilized by an increasing number of veterinarians, alongside Western medicine, for various disease conditions.

Surgery

We want nothing but the best for our clients, especially during surgery.
It is our goal to make sure that our surgical team is prepared to offer our clients the latest medical procedures. We remain informed about the newest medical advances in surgery and actively partake in continued surgical education.

Dentistry

Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys, and can affect the entire body through the bloodstream. Our doctors examine your pet’s teeth and gums semi-annually, as part of their complete physical examination, to determine if a dental cleaning or extraction procedure needs to be performed. Typically, a dental cleaning does not need to be performed before age two in most pets.

Laser Therapy

Claws & Paws Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer a Class IV Therapeutic Laser. Laser Therapy is the use of specific wavelengths of light (red and near-infrared) to create therapeutic effects. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling. It causes bio-stimulation of tissues to increase healing.

Preventative Medicine

Vaccinations

Vaccination is a critical element of your pets’ overall health care. There are a number of illnesses that require vaccination, and pets of different regions face unique risks as well. Ask one of our veterinarians today about possible vaccinations for your pet.

Flea & Tick Control

Ticks can cause many problems for you and your pet. They feed off of the blood of your pets. This is often not enough to make your pets sick. However, many ticks carry terrible diseases such as Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, and more. Some dogs are allergic to tick bites, which causes a serious problem.

Fortunately for us, we offer a prevention (or preventative choices) for fleas and ticks. Ask one of our veterinarians today about flea and tick prevention to keep your pet happy and healthy.

Parasite & Heartworm

At Claws & Paws Veterinary Hospital, we emphasize the importance of preventing parasites. Through preventative measures, you can successfully protect your pet. Pets that are not protected often develop parasites, leading to serious problems for them and their owners.

Imaging

Advanced Digital X-Rays

We are proud to be on the cutting edge of medical technology. Radiology is a technique and diagnostic tool we use to look inside the body in an entirely non-invasive way.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses sound waves to offer a non-invasive, painless, and radiation-free method of imaging your pets’ internal organs. By using ultrasound, we have yet another powerful tool at our disposal to detect, diagnose, and prevent illness in your pet.

In-House Laboratory

We run lab samples in-house at Claws & Paws when needed, but we send samples to a local laboratory and typically receive the results within a day or two.

What is bloodwork and what purpose does it serve? Bloodwork is a means of checking your pet’s internal functions in a non-invasive manner. It can alert us to hidden problems that your pet may have.
